FOUNDATIONS FOR COUNSELLING MINISTRY SCHOOL

With a particular focus on cross-cultural missions, the FCM will give you a foundational understanding of God’s response to brokenness in the world, basic counselling skills to engage with others, and methods to minister to those you encounter in missions.

Training Phase (12 Weeks)

Partner with God to
support others and
offer hope.

In class, you’ll explore God’s heart for the lost and hurting, as well as ways to partner with God in bringing healing to the broken. With weekly workshops, you’ll practice new skills in listening and supporting others. There will also be opportunities to minister to one another and pursue personal healing for the things that God wants to restore in your own life.

Done in the context of the Y WAM Wollongong community, FCM will also include worship, intercession, group discussions, and course homework.

Outreach Phase (12 Weeks)

Use your skills to help others.

In a cross-cultural missions setting, you’ll have the opportunity to use the skills you’ve gained as you reach out to others to expand the Kingdom of God. Our hope for all people we minister to is to see them encounter Jesus and experience healing and transformation for themselves.

Outreach Phase: $3500​-5000*

Accreditation

At this point in time, the FCM is not recognised as an accredited course through the Australian Qualifications Framework. 
The FCM is a school of the University of the Nations under course code CNH 211/212. More information on the U of N can be found at uofn.edu.
